Artchange encourages kids of all ages to tell stories and document their communities. We emphasize listening, looking and thinking about what we walk by or don't give attention to. We emphasize creativity, taking risks and thinking about the meaning and impact of stories.

This is a short video using stills and writing by a high school student in Lexington Kentucky. This short is part of a project with Ellen Frankenstein, working with the Living Arts & Science Center, through funding received by the LASC from the National Endowment for the Arts. Her projects in Lexington included working with students at Lexington Traditional Middle School, Henry Clay High School and the Lexington Day Treatment Center in the production of their own photography and video projects. The student projects were screened at an Outdoor Film Festival. In 2009 Frankenstein also did a residency in White Mountain, Alaska and worked with students as part of the LEAD ON Summit in Alaska.
